Andreas Joch is a Doctoral Fellow in Residence at the GHI. He studied modern and medieval history as well as political science at the University of Giessen and University College Cork. His main areas of interest comprise modern urban and migration history.

His main areas of interest comprise modern urban and migration history. A Ph.D. candidate at Giessen, his research project examines the interactions between European migrants and urban development in North America.
