Transatlantic Perspectives project member Barbara Louis has just accepted an exciting new fellowship from the Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies (www.botstiber.org). The Botstiber Foundation provides scholarships for students in the fields of science, technology and commerce, and seeks to foster mutual understanding between Austria and the United States. Now back in Vienna, Austria, Louis will continue research for her dissertation on Central European women in the social sciences who immigrated to the United States from Central in the World War II era. Though sad to see her go, we are excited for the great opportunity this fellowship has given her and we look forward to continued collaboration in the future!
